Individual
Therapy available
to all consumers. This service is recommended for the first four weeks
of treatment to compliment on going groups, and to provide an opportunity
to identify individual treatment issues pertinent to their recovery
and receive support.
Men's/Women's Group Therapy participation is required for halfway
status residents, and addresses emotional impairment caused by chemical
dependency. Issues discussed and supported in this group are frequently
gender specific.
Peer Groups meet weekly Sunday evenings in each apartment
of the community. Peer groups consist of residents and rotating
staff members.
Therapeutic Leaves a significant part of the recovery process. Following
at least three weeks of residence, residents are eligible to
apply for a TL.. It is time spent with family, significant others,
or sponsors.
Recovery Awareness Group meets weekly
and is designed for consumers who are entering treatment for the first
time. This group provides an overview of the disease of addiction,
focusing on tools from 12-step programs. Didactic material is also
presented.
Relapse Prevention Group meets weekly
and is designed for consumers who have had a history of relapse in
their addictive process. Relapse triggers and situations are identified
and recovery supportive coping skills are discussed.
Aftercare Group
meets weekly and is designed
to address issues that may arise following discharge from the Turn
Around program, or other treatment programs. Three months of treatment
must be completed prior to admission to group. The group focuses on
on-going recovery issues, relapse prevention, recovery oriented life
skills and support of 12-step program involvement.
A.A./N.A. Meetings
must be attended daily
Sponsorship
12-Step Workbooks/Exercise
assigned to residents by the Clinical Director are read, with
approval, in groups to receive feedback.
